They are in great shape but have no paperwork or manuals or anything like that and since theyre discontinued Im having trouble finding info for them.First, the bubble level indicator embedded in the tripod seems to have lost its fluid and therefore its bubble.
![]() Bogen 3063 Manuals Or AnythingFrom the way theyre attached it would seem to me that this black ring should slide up and down the center shaft, but mine doesnt (or wont) move. The whole world with the exception of the US uses the manfrotto numbers and survives intact. Some pea brain at bogen says self, im going to mess with every ones mind and creat another system of model numbers just cuz i feel ornary The Bogen 3051 is a manfrotto 058 tripod. Go to and click on search, then enter the Bogen SKU (3051) or the manfrotto number 058. The head is the old manfrotto 136 head and has been discontinued. Its a great head for the money but has been replaced by stuff of lesser quality (my opinion). For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding. Tell me if you guys think i am making a good deal or not, should i offer him less I will post some pictures he sent me(, it will also come with a dolly and release plate that were not photographed.). BH Photo Video, Adorama, and KEH are the best places to purchase photovideo equipment. They all have a Used Gear section and will also do equipment trade-ins. My buddy who is also a photographer, recently bought a similar tripod off Craigslist but I believe his was larger had a geared head and paid 50 bucks, so in my opinion he wants way too much. They were old Mitchell heads and another brand that began with a C. See if hell go for 175 I dont know what they cost new but if it was taken care of it is a good deal. In fact, the next revision fluid head (which was based on this model) is still commonly available and I believe still available new, so its not that old. Obviously youll want to make sure the panning and tilting is smooth, but I dont think its that old that you should be overly worried about it. But as long as it still works properly (and it should; Ive used older gear that was beat more heavily that still worked properly) and can hold your gear properly, it looks like a good value to me. It is heavy for back packing, but doable and worth the effort. The new one just cost me 145 with shipping for both the tripod and head. The first one I paid about 240 for both about a year ago.
